New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will be at Lambeau Field this weekend, but he will be footing the bill instead of Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.
According to the New Jersey governor’s office, Governor Chris Christie will be paying for his trip to Lambeau Field to watch the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers battle. This means that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was paying for his trips to join him in his suite at the Cowboys games.

“Not wanting to risk breaking the team’s 5-0 streak by messing with karma, Governor Christie, his orange sweater and his son Andrew will all travel to Lambeau Field this weekend to attend the game,” Michael Drewniak, Christie spokesperson, said on Friday.
According to New Jersey ethics rules, governors can accept gifts from family and friends. It’s well-known that Christie has considered Jones a friends for many years.
It’s good to see he is not allowing his haters to keep him from Lambeau Field to watch Tony Romo and company try to pull the upset.
Don’t worry fans, the television networks will continue to plaster your television with Christie and Jones side-by-side multiple times throughout the Ice Bowl rematch that you may almost forget there are thousands of other fans there watching a game.
If the Cowboys win, you can expect Christie to travel to the NFC Championship and Jones and the New Jersey Governor will jump for joy after the victory. After all, maybe Christie is the Cowboy’s good luck charm this season as they are 5-0 when he is in attendance.
If he’s not a good luck charm, at least he provides us moments like this.
