Kenyon Martin is an old man in NBA years. The big man is 37 years old, been in the NBA for 14 years, and has played on five NBA teams throughout his NBA career. At this point his role is more about doing all the dirty stuff in an NBA game like setting screens, grabbing the put back, and just getting in the way. He’s a veteran meant to mentor young players, which is a large part of why the Milwaukee Bucks signed him, and it would definitely be weird to see him going out there and dunking on alley oop or something like that.
THAT’S AN OLD MAN ALLEY OOP DUNK RIGHT THERE. If there were Vegas lines on Kenyon Martin throwing down a dunk in his first NBA game of the season with his new team, there might have been a nice 50/50 split on if he’d be able to do it. But, it’s unlikely anybody thought Martin was going to throw down an alley oop his first night back with an NBA team. Has he even jumped that high since his days back in Denver, or did he attach a time machine to his legs to make himself do this.
The good news for Martin is he still has some solid hops for a 37 year old man, the downside is he’s probably going to be feeling that one in his legs for the next couple days. Still, it’s always awesome to see a long time NBA vet throw one down on some punk ass kids.
