Watch as this fan attempts to get a selfie with James Harden and the Rockets guard hilariously ignore him.

Attempting to take a selfie with an NBA player in the moments before a game seems like a bold and slightly obnoxious move. I mean, hat’s off to any player who is willing to indulge such requests, but you couldn’t blame them for finding that situation annoying.

More from Houston Rockets

Meet Jackson Griffin. He is a young fan who is apparently quite fond of Houston Rockets‘ shooting guard James Harden. As such, he was unabashed in his attempt to snap a selfie with Harden before the Rockets’ game against the New York Knicks this week.

What happened next is quite enjoyable, as Harden completely ignored Griffin. Observe.

Entertaining though that video is, it does appear that the selfie was eventually taken. Evidence from Jackson Griffin’s Twitter account:

“Excited” is definitely not the way you would describe Harden’s expression in that selfie. Put me down for “annoyed indifference” to explain how Harden felt.

To be absolutely fair to young Mr. Griffin, it would appear that his fandom for Harden is sincere and that he has successfully gotten a photo with Harden in the past. His Twitter profile picture is him and Harden.

So good for him for getting his selfie, I guess, but even better for the rest of us because of this hilarious video.
