Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman told Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton to think twice about throwing towards him after making an interception.

The Carolina Panthers came into the playoffs with a losing record and won their Wild Card match up against the Arizona Cardinals. They’re trying to keep the magic rolling by upsetting the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks on the road.

That isn’t an easy task, the Seahawks have a dominant running back in Marshawn Lynch and an even more dominating defense, which boasts arguably the best secondary in the NFL. Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton seemed to forget that when he threw towards Richard Sherman early in the game.

Sherman is arguably the best cornerback in the league and easily made the interception.

And if you know anything about Sherman, you knew he wouldn’t simply be content with making a big play. Every time someone throws his direction he takes it as an affront to his abilities as a cornerback and constantly feels the need to remind them of his greatness.

That means Sherman trash talking or taunting, in this case it was a little of both as he seemingly told Newton to think twice before throwing towards him with his gestures.
