The New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens always provide thrilling entertainment when these two teams meet in the playoffs and today’s AFC Divisional Playoff game is shaping up as such through the first quarter.

Tom Brady leads all quarterbacks with 18 playoff wins and 28 starts and his counterpart today is Joe Flacco who has the most playoff road wins with seven, so something has to give when the Ravens and Patriots battle at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro.

Flacco led the Ravens on a five-play, 71 yard drive on their opening possession to take an early 7-0 and followed that up with Flacco’s touchdown pass of the day to give him eight straight games with two touchdowns in a playoff game. The second score from Flacco moved him into sole possession of first place ahead of Joe Montana, Terry Bradshaw and Drew Brees.

But then it was time for Brady to get in on the action and led the Pats on an eight-play drive covering 78 yards in 3:56 and he did the honors himself with a four-yard scramble to get in the end zone and make it a 14-7 game in the final minute of the first quarter.

This was the fifth postseason rushing touchdown for the dual-threat Brady who looks to advance to the AFC Championship Game next Sunday and extend his lead for the most playoff wins by a quarterback.
