French Guiana native Kevin Seraphin shows support in wake of the Paris tragedy
Washington Wizards center Kevin Seraphin was the latest player in the NBA to show support after the tragedy in Paris earlier this week, where the offices of satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo came under gunfire and many of the staff were killed.

Seraphin, a native of French Guiana and member of the French National Basketball Team, wore a t-shirt displaying the words “Je Suis Charlie” which translates into “I Am Charlie”.
Nic Batum, Trail Blazers forward and Seraphin’s teammate on the French team, along with Robin Lopez, Trail Blazers Center and cartoon/comic aficionado, also wore the shirts out of respect for those who lost their lives.
The NBA has already previously made a statement this season in the t-shirt department when players wore “I Can’t Breathe” shirts after the death of Eric Garner.
This was another respectful gesture by Seraphin, along with others, to show they care for their fellow countrymen. Once again, the NBA players get it right and show tremendous class through their actions.
Don’t be surprised to see other players follow suit and join in support of Charlie Hebdo.
