After Tony Romo found Tyler Clutts for a short touchdown to draw the Dallas Cowboys even with the Packers, Clay Matthews came in with a low, very late shot at Tony Romoās knees. There was inexplicably no flag thrown for the low hit, but a fine could still be coming Matthewsā way.
In fact, considering the hit was delivered to a quarterback like Tony Romo, you would almost have to expect the fine to come.
To Clay Matthewsā credit, his head was down and he may not have seen that Romo had let the ball go, but it was still the kind of hit that the NFL is trying to get rid of ā especially when the hits are delivered to star quarterbacks.
Keep your head up next time, Clay. You have to see what you hit.
