Detroit Lions troll Dallas Cowboys on Twitter after Dez Bryant reversed call
By Josh Hill
The Dallas Cowboys lost in the NFC Divisional Round Playoffs on a reserved call by officials, which was fitting in more than one way for the Detroit Lions.
On Sunday afternoon in Green Bay, 10 million conspiracy theories died a cold, hard death as the Dallas Cowboys were on the wrong end of a reversed call by officials late in the game. The call wasn’t a penalty like we saw last week against the Detroit Lions, rather a Dez Bryant catch that was challenged and reversed.

There’s a lot going on in this one little incident as the NFL both vindicated itself while implicating itself at the same time. The play saw Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant go up for a ball and seemingly come down with a circus catch at the goal line on fourth down.
Green Bay challenged the play and it was later reversed and overturned. The reserved call ended the Cowboys drive and they never got the ball back. This was eerily reminiscent of two calls that went against the Detroit Lions of the last few years, as the infamous Calvin Johnson rule came into effect.
The Lions were quick to point out their role in all of this when it happened, throwing a not so subtle jab at the Cowboys on Twitter.
This works in two ways for the Lions. First and foremost, it works as a troll from last week in which the Lions thought they had a call coming their way only to have it reversed. This week the Cowboy similarly though they had a call that was subsequently taken away and reversed.
Beyond that, the stupidity of the Calvine Johnson rule actually brings the Lions and Cowboys back together on this call, as it highlighted how dumb the rule is and what an impact it can have on a game.
Nevertheless, this was a perfect opportunity for the Lions to exorcise their demons from last week and they pounced on that opportunity with glee.
