The Denver Broncos owned the first quarter, but the Indianapolis Colts have bounced back to take a second-quarter lead in an AFC Divisional Playoff.

The Indianapolis Colts defense gave up a touchdown on its first trip onto the field, but has been good since and Andrew Luck has the Colts ahead of the Denver Broncos in the second quarter at Sports Authority Field at Mile High in an AFC Divisional Playoff Game.

The Colts moved out in front when Luck took advantage of a short field following a Peyton Manning fumble.

Luck capped an eight-play, 41-yard drive with this quick strike to tight end Dwayne Allen for a 3-yard score:

The fumble happened when Jonathan Newsome sacked Manning for a nine-yard loss and knocked the ball loose, with Jerrell Freeman recovering.

The Broncos’ offense has just 111 total yards as of late in the first half and Indianapolis is dominating the time of possession, keeping the high-powered Denver offense off the field.

This is the third meeting—and the first in the playoffs—between the Broncos and Colts since Manning was released in the spring of 2012 by Indianapolis and signed as a free agent in Denver.

The Colts won the first meeting at Lucas Oil Stadium on Oct. 20, 2013, 39-33, with Manning throwing for 386 yards and three touchdowns with an interception in his first game there as a visiting player. Luck had 228 yards and three scoring passes, along with a rushing score.

In Denver in Week 1 this season, the Broncos posted a 31-24 win, with Manning piling up 269 yards and three touchdown passes, while Luck ran for another score and had 370 yards and two TD passes to go with two picks.

Manning is the first quarterback in NFL history to face a team in the postseason for which he made 200 or more starts.
