The NFL announced that two its three games to be played in London in 2015 will start at 1PM local time, which means morning football in America.

There is good news and there’s great news for NFL fans living in the States. The good news is your favorite sport is catching on across the pond and gaining more fans with whom you can banter and threaten on social media. The great news is most of the games played in London for the 2015 regular season will start around 9:30 AM EST.

Morning football. It may be controversial to some, but who doesn’t want NFL action over breakfast?

The NFL has hinted at more morning football this weekend, which has some fans excited for the 2015 season. The first game will be an October 4th tilt between the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets, which will start at 1:30 PM London time, which means kickoff will be at 8:30am ET on the East Coast. They can do the same thing on October 25 when the Buffalo Bills play the ‘host’ Jacksonville Jaguars.

The NFL rolled out the morning move in the 2014 regular season to rave reviews when they pitted the Detroit Lions against the Atlanta Falcons in London with a start time of 9:30 AM EST. It still hasn’t been announced as to the kickoff time for the third London game next season, which features the Lions and Kansas City Chiefs, so we could have a third morning game tossed in there.

Of course, ‘morning football’ this last season was really more of an East Coast phenomenon. West Coast football fans have spent most of their lives being able to flick on the tube at 10AM local time and get the football juices flowing. In fact, those fans will be probably be annoyed that there’s a football game starting at 6:30 AM local time. That’s a little early for a Sunday.

Still, the four teams getting early starts are from the East Coast so that impact should be minimal. Next season, for two weeks out of the year, NFL fans will be able to catch football with breakfast, lunch and dinner.
