The frozen tundra of Green Bay is no doubt frozen on Sunday afternoon, with the weather looking like it will play a factor in the outcome of the game.

When you get playoff football in Green Bay, you get one thing no matter what is happening with the team – you get cold ass weather. That’s not a statement said to try and be cool, it’s literally weather that will in every scienftic way freeze your ass off.

It’s something that gives the Packers an advantage over opponents, but it doesn’t guarantee a win. As we saw in numerous years before, just because it’s cold at Lambeau Field, that doesn’t mean the Packers are going to win the game.

They’re 8-0 at home this season though, so luck is on their side and according to the last minute weather reports so too will Mother Nature.

Traveling from Dallas, the Cowboys are going to avoid playing in sub-zero temperatures that harken back to the infamous Ice Bowl, but things are not going to be bright and sunny in the least.

There is really good news to be had though — snow is not expected to be in the forecast for Sunday’s game. It was iffy coming into the week, as snow storms slammed the midwest and the Great Lakes area near Green Bay, but no precipitation is expected in any form during the game.

Another thing that Dallas can be thankful for is the lack of a Wind Chill. It’s going to be 22-degrees for the game but it’s going to feel like 22-degrees and not sub-zero temps. For two teams with power running games though, the freezing temps will mean more carries to DeMarco Murray and Eddie Lacy, as smash mouth football waits us all at Lambeau Field on Sunday.
