The NFC Championship Game is set, as the Green Bay Packers used a bit of luck to sneak past the Dallas Cowboys.

In what ended up being one of the best games of the postseason so far, the Green Bay Packers used a comeback victory and one functioning calf to sneak past the Dallas Cowboys. The win puts further pressure on Aaron Rodgers and the Packers to continue winning, but there is once again controversy with officiating after a late game call proved critical to the outcome of the game.

The biggest play of the game though wasn’t any of Aaron Rodgers’ throws, rather it was one Tony Romo throw that looked like a Dez Bryant catch but was ruled nothing more than an incompletion after review. The call on the field was a reception, and Twitter exploded with cat calls for Bryant’s sexy catch, but a smart challenge by Green Bay saw the call reversed and perhaps some shenanigans last week in Dallas avenged.

It appears that the catch is made and moves common to the game were indeed made. But what we have to remember is that the Calvin Johnson rule is one of the dumbest rules ever created by human beings, and that’s something that potentially kept the Dallas Cowboys out of the NFC Championship game.

But just like last week, any further analysis of the play is nothing more than an exercise in futility. Nothing can be changed now and for some, justice has been served.

Either way, the Green Bay Packers are on their way to the NFC Championship Game to try and throw the Seattle Seahawks off their course to repeat as Super Bowl winners. They’ll have to do it with a clearly hobbled Aaron Rodgers, but the Packers have made it this far on only one of his calfs, and they have momentum on their side as they travel to Seattle for an epic showdown next weekend.
