Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase is now a hot commodity after their stunning loss to the Colts.

Times are confusing in Denver Broncos land right now. The fan-base that so strangely chants “in-com-plete” after every, well, incomplete pass by the opposing team, is now wondering what the future holds.

After a whirlwind three seasons with future Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning which saw regular season dominance and less than stellar postseason play, many questions now need to be answered.

The first one is the state of their head coach.

Today it was announced that head coach John Fox and the organization has mutually agreed to part ways after four-seasons, compiling a 46-18 record. The most logical replacement is Manning favorite and current offensive coordinator Adam Gase, the man who most think is the reason Fox is now gone.

Many think owner John Elway thinks Gase’s time as head coach is now. That sentiment is strong especially when the thinking is Manning will only return if Gase is also coming back in some way, shape or form.

However, for that to happen Gase must agree to become the next coach of the franchise. And for that to happen he cannot leave to take another job with another team.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting that one of the teams with a head coaching vacancy, the San Francisco 49ers, are prepared to make a strong push for the most wanted man who ran the Bronco offense. They are meeting with him tonight.

The 49ers head coaching vacancy obviously opened up due to Jim Harbaugh heading for greener pastures at his alma-mater Michigan.

Other candidates for the San Francisco job include Arizona Cardinals defensive coordinator Todd Bowles and New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.
