The Denver Broncos have decided to clean house and will be letting go of all the assistant coaches including Adam Gase and Jack Del Rio.

The Denver Broncos are making wholesale changes in the locker room. The latest word out of Denver has the team letting go of all of the assistant coaches including Adam Gase and Jack Del Rio per Vic Lombardi. John Elway doesn’t mess around. Elway wanted to go further in the playoffs and since he didn’t get that, he let go of everyone.

The Broncos were eliminated from the playoffs by the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. The team will be looking for a whole new coaching staff on Monday. What could be the plan in Denver and what does this mean for Peyton Manning?

John Fox had spent the last 4 seasons in Denver and had a 46-18 record during his tenure. His coordinators all were candidates for head coaching jobs this offseason. Defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio had been mentioned as a possibility to take over the Oakland Raiders job and Adam Gase had been mentioned on a number of other positions that were open. Now they will be just looking for a place to land.

The window for the Broncos is closing. Peyton Manning is 38-years old and could decide to hang it up this offseason. He played through a torn quad during the final stretch of the season and his struggles were evident. Against the Colts, he was off target and could not find his receivers deep. He finished the game throwing 26-for-46 with 211 passing yards and a touchdown.

The team was looking to win the Super Bowl now and with Fox unable to advance through the division round of the playoffs, he and the rest of his staff have been relieved of their duties. Whoever John Elway is looking to bring on to run this team will have the ability to hire all their own staff members. Mike Shanahan is a name that would make a ton of sense in Denver after this major renovation.
