Ohio State was sitting pretty at halftime of the College Football Playoff National Championship game. Their four turnovers so far have hurt them and LeBron James has taken notice.

Injured Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James is in attendance of the National Championship game at AT&T Stadium. He was enjoying Ohio State’s performance especially in the first half. That was until they started turning the ball over multiple times in the second half. He took to Twitter to voice his frustrations over their sloppy play, telling them how not to cough up the ball and allow the Oregon Ducks to come from behind to win the inaugural College Football Playoff National Championship.

No matter the sport, turnovers are killers. LeBron plays on a team that averages 13.0 turnovers per game according to ESPN. It’s a reason why the Cavs have struggled this season.

Despite getting the ball four times, Oregon has only been able to get 10 points off the turnover and hasn’t been able to take the lead since going up 7-0 to start the game. Against Florida State, Oregon forced five turnovers in their domination over the Seminoles.

Four caused turnovers has kept this matchup a close game, but at some point they need to get more than three points or get stuffed on fourth down at the goal-line. On the flip side, Oregon has been careful not to turn the ball over themselves, but their usually potent offense isn’t getting it done.

The defense can only force so many turnovers and keep a dynamic Buckeyes side out of end zone only so many times

LeBron is arguably the Buckeyes biggest fan and has shown that publicly throughout the week. He’s an Ohioan who will be very frustrated if the Buckeyes continue to not protect the pigskin and potentially lose to the Ducks in the game. The last thing the Buckeyes need is for the Ducks to still be within reach of the league as the fourth quarter comes to an end and their defense is out of breath from a fast-paced, no-huddle offense.
