The Oregon offense got the spark they needed in the second half, courtesy of Marcus Mariota and Byron Marshall.

In somewhat of a shocker on Monday night in the national championship game, the Oregon Ducks went into the locker room down 21-10 to Ohio State, something that not a lot of people saw coming. More than ever, this Oregon team needed a serious jolt in the second half to get themselves back in this one.

Well, they got that jolt, thanks to Marcus Mariota and Byron Marshall.

After stopping Ohio State on their first drive of the half, Mariota instantly found Marshall for the 70-yard score.

Now that is exactly what they needed and that’s a good testament to just how fast this Oregon team can get the ball in the end zone when they need to.

Also, this scoring play was reviewed because it was thought that Marshall dropped the ball before he got it over the goal line. But after the review, he narrowly missed the boneheaded play.
