NC State coach Mark Gottfried delivered Duke coach Mike Kryzewski a little love pat after his team upset the Blue Devils.

The NC State Wolfpack knocked off the Duke Blue Devils and eliminated the remaining unbeaten team in College Basketball on Sunday. During the post-game congratulatory handshake Gottfried decided to give Coach K a little extra love.

I won’t even attempt to guess what was said between the two coaches, but I can’t imagine that it was anything productive. I mean who does this Coach Gottfried think that he is to go and smack one of the legendary college coaches on the buttocks?

The Blue Devils fell to 14-1 (2-1 ACC) in the loss and will take on the Miami Hurricanes Tuesday January 13 at 9 p.m. ET in their next game. The win improved the Wolfpack to 12-5 (3-1 ACC) while the team gets another tough test with the North Carolina Tar Heels coming to town.

Duke and NC State are not scheduled to meet again in the regular season but could face off again once March Madness begins.

Highly touted, and likely No. 1 draft pick if he comes out this season, Jahlil Okafor showed out and did his thing delivering 23 points with 12 rebounds, 3 blocks and 3 steals, but the back-court combo of Trevor Lacey and Ralston Turner proved too much for the Blue Devils to handle.
