LOSERS: Joe Flacco

Much like Peyton Manning, the only thing people will remember this weekend is that Flacco choked when it counted.

What else do you call the bafflingly bad throw that was picked off near the end of the game? As I outlined at Sports on Earth Saturday night, Flacco had Torrey Smith with a step on cornerback Logan Ryan down the left sideline. All he needed to do was throw it long and, to be safe, outside.

Instead, he threw it inside—way inside—and even a little short. He also missed safety Duron Harmon who never hesitated in moving over to help Ryan. Flacco should have seen him—there was no question where the safety was going—and either throw it outside, deep or elsewhere.

Instead—well, we all saw.
