Gary Oldman’s Wife Alexandra Edenborough files for divorce

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes actor Gary Oldman’s fourth wife Alexandra Edenborough has filed for divorce after seven years of marriage.

It would seem that the third time was not the charm for British actor Gary Oldman. Unfortunately, it seems as if the fourth was filled with similarly bad luck as well.

According to People, jazz singer Alexandra Edenborough has filed for divorce from Oldman. In the divorce papers, which were filed on Friday in Los Angeles, the reason for the couple’s dissolution is “irreconcilable differences.”

As you can imagine based on the beginning of the article, Edenborough is Oldman’s fourth wife.

It would seem as if all the talent in the world doesn’t make you lucky in love. The fifty six year old British actor was first married all the way back in 1987 when he married Maleficent actress Lesley Manville. The couple has a young son together by the name of Alfie. Unfortunately, their relationship came to an end in 1989.

Just one year later, he would marry Kill Bill actress Uma Thurman. Unfortunately, this relationship seemed to be over before it even started. The couple of dissolve their union in just two years’ time.

Oldman’s third relationship seemed to have what it took to stand the test of time. He was married to Donya Fiorentino in 1997. Unfortunately, after just four short years, this union would end much the same as his previous two. On the bright side, this relationship gave Oldman two sons, Gulliver and Charlie.

Relationships are never easy. If they were, they wouldn’t honestly mean as much as they do. Unfortunately, no matter how much you may love someone; there are times when it is just not meant to be. All you can do when faced with a situation like this one is hold your head up high and do like the British and “Keep Calm and Carry On.”

The good news for Oldman is, it seems as if he has a pretty big schedule ahead of him, which will mean that he’ll have plenty to keep his mind occupied. He just completed work on the thriller Child 44 from director Daniel Espinosa that is due out in theaters in April.

Oldman also just finished filming the crime drama Criminal starring Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot. In addition to Criminal, he also just finished up filming on the thriller Man Down starring Fury actor Shia LaBeouf and Kate Mara.

Coming up soon, he will be taking on a multi-faceted role in the recently announced project Flying Horse. In addition to starring in the film, he will also be taking the seat behind the camera as well as penning the script for the film.

Flying Horse is a biopic of famed photographer Eadweard Muybridge after the courtship and love affair between Muybridge’s wife and Harry Larkyns. Flying Horse is set to star Ralph Fiennes and Amanda Seyfried as Eadweard and Flora Muybridge and Benedict Cumberbatch as Harry Larkyns.
