Without James on the court for the last 8 games, the team has dropped 7 out of the 8 games. The team now has a 19-19 record and they are desperate for the King to get back on the court. Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving were not able to carry the team during James’ absence. The team was even embarrassed by the horrible Philadelphia 76ers during that stretch and they have dropped their last 5 games in a row.
The Cavs have been terrible without James on the court. They scored more than 100 points once during the stretch and had a couple of 80-point performances during that stretch.
The King makes his return and hopefully he will be able to bring some life onto the court. James is averaging 25.2 points per gaem with 5.3 rebounds and 7.6 assists. His production on the floor was desperately missed.
James spoke on the state of the team earlier in the morning:
"“We got to get better,” James said. “We got to approach every game with a sense of urgency. And I hated the fact that we were playing some pretty decent ball when I went out and we just dropped a lot of games when I was out. Hopefully I can get back tonight or very soon and we can start getting back on our winning ways.” – ESPN"
We will see if LeBron can flip things around for the Cavs tonight. He wouldn’t want to see his team dip under .500 during the year. He has been out since December 28, so there will be some rust to his game. Will he be able to do enough?
