San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich left the team bus with sharp chest pains.
Gregg Popovich is one of the best head coaches that the NBA has ever seen, and the San Antonio Spurs have been yearly contenders with him leading the way. He has preached team basketball since becoming their head coach, and has put together one of the best offensive systems in the league.
That being said, Popovich left the Spurs’ team bus after their game against the Washington Wizards on Tuesday night.
He was experiencing sharp chest pains, and it is an immediate concern considering his age at 65. It doesn’t necessarily mean that the pains are something serious, but it is an obvious concern.

He has compiled a 1,398-988 career record with the Spurs, and is without a doubt one of the main reasons that the Spurs have been legitimate title contenders each season. San Antonio will miss Popovich whenever the time comes that he is no longer patrolling their sidelines, but hopefully this issue doesn’t cause that.
More information will become available in the near future, but for now all we can do is pray for him as he gets checked out for whatever was causing the pain. Hopefully he will be just fine moving forward after the issues, and will be able to resume coaching in the near future.
