The Dallas Cowboys have some difficult free agency decisions ahead, and they admit it will be a challenge to re-sign stars Dez Bryant and DeMarco Murray.

This offseason, the Dallas Cowboys will have to face some difficult decisions regarding the future of star running back DeMarco Murray, who led the NFL in rushing this past season, and star wide receiver Dez Bryant.

It will be difficult for the Cowboys to retain both players, and general manager/team owner Jerry Jones seems to realize the difficulties that will be ahead.

By all accounts, the Cowboys plan on extending Dez Bryant or retaining him with the franchise tag.

That could mean DeMarco Murray will be looking for a new home.

With his recent success, he should have plenty of potential suitors, but the Cowboys seem to believe Dez Bryant is more valuable to the team. When you look at how the Dallas Cowboys are built, it makes sense.

Despite their success in the running game, the NFL is a passing league and Dez Bryant is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL.

On the other hand, Murray is 27 and injury-prone. He also has the luxury of running behind one of the best offensive lines in football — which the Cowboys have spent the past few years rebuilding through the NFL Draft.

For Dallas, extending Bryant and then finding a younger, cheaper option to replace Murray may be the best way to go.
