J.J. Hickson isn’t exactly know for playing defense. Thanks to a lack of effort at times and just being bad at that end on others, Hickson typically is known more for messing up than doing good when his team doesn’t have the ball. Tonight he tried to play some defense on Chandler Parsons and it resulted in a play that will make him rethink trying any more this season.

For Parsons it was his entry in the “Best dunk of the night from one of the three Chandlers in the NBA” contest I just made up. Earlier in the night Wilson Chandler threw down a monster dunk over Tyson Chandler after driving by Parsons so Chandler had to atone and he did in big time fashion.

I still give the award to Wilson for two reasons though. First he did it against two Chandlers which counts for something in a contest involving only Chandlers. Second his dunk was on a much, much better defensive player as Tyson Chandler is a former defensive player of the year and J.J. Hickson is potentially the worst defender in basketball.

So now just one question remains? Can Tyson Chandler put someone on a poster and complete the Chandler trio of dunks tonight? He only has about seven minutes to complete the task so it seems unlikely.
