Before making the transition into broadcasting, Anthony’s claim to fame came on the basketball court.
After splitting his collegiate years with Portland and the University of Las Vegas (started at point guard for the 1990 National Championship team), Anthony was drafted 12th overall in the 1991 NBA Draft by the New York Knicks, where he’d spend the first four years of his career.

Following his stint with the Knicks, Anthony would bounce around the NBA, spending the final seven NBA seasons on the Memphis Grizzlies (then the Vancouver Grizzlies), Seattle Supersonics, Portland Trail Blazers, Chicago Bulls, and Toronto Raptors. For his career, Anthony averaged 7.3 points on 40 percent shooting, 1.9 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 757 games.
After a marginal stint in the NBA, Anthony’s next step would be behind the broadcasting booth with ESPN. Soon after joining ESPN, Anthony would take his talents to the CBS broadcasting booth as a college basketball analyst. Since then, Anthony has become one of the renown college analyst.
Prior to his arrest, Anthony was in Maryland to prepare for a matchup between the University of Maryland and Michigan State.
As more information on Anthony’s arrest is revealed, we’ll make sure to deliver an update.
The report has since been confirmed by ABC 7 in Washington.
