Andrew Luck has led the Indianapolis Colts to the AFC Championship game on Sunday in just his third season, and they are going to be up against a very talented New England Patriots squad.
New England defeated the Colts 42-20 in their first meeting in Week 11, but the Colts believe that they are playing better football now than they were then. Luck and the Colts have the top passing offense in the NFL, and they have a new running game with Dan “Boom” Herron in the backfield, and that will be a major improvement. It isn’t going to be an easy game for the Colts, but not many picked them to knock off the Denver Broncos either.
There are quite a few different areas that the Colts will need to focus on in order to come away with a victory to move on to the Super Bowl.
It is going to be a very entertaining game between two bitter rivals, and two very talented quarterbacks. Tom Brady and the Patriots didn’t appear like legitimate playoff contenders earlier this year, and many fans and analysts were beginning to question whether or not he was still an elite quarterback. Obviously he answered those questions by playing MVP caliber football down the stretch of the season.
