In the meantime, Pacquiao is going about his every day life and waiting for the moment Mayweather agrees to the deal — if that ever comes.
While Pacquiao was going about his business, TMZ cameras caught up to him and asked if he had a message to deliver for boxing’s pound-for-pound king.
He did, and it was simple: “Sign the contract.”
What Pacquiao said is exactly what boxing fans have been saying for years.
It is certainly promising that Pacquiao has agreed to the terms of the fight, but we have been to this point before. It always comes down to Mayweather, who finds an excuse or reason to avoid the fight.
With Mayweather’s career coming to an end, you would hope he will finally step up and give the sport the fight that it deserves.
