The boys from ‘How Ridiculous’ made the first ever underwater hole-in-one golf shot.

When you first read that, I’m sure you’re thinking the same exact thing I was when I first read it. I was thinking that there is no way this happened and there has to be some kind of catch. Well, it wasn’t exactly what I expected when I first loaded it, there really is no catch. These mates actually did it.

I say mates because the guys, or should I say lads, from this show are from Australia. They put out a show on YouTube called ‘How Ridiculous’ and they perform different trick shots and whacky stunts. They are kind of like the Australian version of ‘Dude Perfect.’

In this episode of ‘How Ridiculous’, the boys want to accomplish the first ever underwater hole-in-one. They set up a small little tee spot on the beach near the edge of the water and put the hole out in the ocean. I’m not sure exactly how far out the hole is, they didn’t specify, but it looks to be about 50 yards or so. Then, they sunk the hole to the ocean floor, which was about 2 meters down.

The object is to hit the ball into the water and get the ball to sink down into the water and into the bucket for a hole-in-one shot.

To be honest, when I first heard ‘underwater hole-in-one’ I thought that they would actually be shooting from underwater, which is why I had my doubts that it would be possible. I really don’t think you could swing a golf club with enough velocity underwater to make the golf ball go very far. So, seeing them do it this way makes much more sense.

I for sure would have been way more impressed if they were shooting from underwater, but this is still impressive.

They had two guys swimming in the ocean over the hole with GoPro cameras to catch the balls decent as it hits the water. The shooter chips the ball into the water and the two guys in the water capture the ball descending to the floor and just making it into the bucket for the hole-in-one.

Needless to say, the lads are pretty stoked. I doubt that it was his first shot, but if it was that makes it even more impressive.

I think they should start incorporating underwater holes in the PGA tour. I’m sure Rory McIlroy would have no problem with that shot.
