The Billionaire tycoon let Dez Bryant know how he felt about “the catch” and the Cowboys

Billionaire T. Boone Pickens is the latest to come out and support the Dallas Cowboys after last Sunday’s controversial decision that potentially took away a game-winning catch from Dez Bryant, as well as a trip to the NFC Championship Game for the Dallas Cowboys.

Pickens, the high-profile school donor, showed support for one of Oklahoma State’s former players in Bryant. Pickens wrote the Cowboys receiver and let him know that he was on his side after the call and that he believes in the Cowboys.

Pickens gave credit to Bryant for making a great catch, despite the call on the field, and acknowledged that bad calls happen to everyone sometime.

Perhaps the best part of this entire letter is the way Pickens refers to Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray. Murray, of course, attended college at Pickens and Bryant’s rival, Oklahoma.

Pickens refers to Murray not by name, but rather “the OU running back.” Pickens being a proud Oklahoma State alum is nothing new and you have to love his dedication to the longstanding rivalry between the two Oklahoma schools.

After a week where many felt the Cowboys were robbed, and many could easily be justified in their opinions, Pickens is the latest to show support, but at the same time says the right thing in that there is a next year. As long as the Cowboys keep improving, they will be right back there with a shot at the Lombardi Trophy next season.
