Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Yasiel Puig jokes about why he doesn’t hit the cut off man
Since breaking onto the scene in 2013, Yasiel Puig has been an enigma in Major League Baseball, to say the least. Whether it was the torrid start to his career that launched the Dodgers to a postseason run, running the bases his way, flipping his bat, having a rocket of an arm, or not hitting the cut off man, Puig has developed a propensity to do things his way.

Aptly named “The Wild Horse” by legendary Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully, Puig has developed a reputation of one that can’t be tamed.
Puig oozes with talent, and in the 2014 season he made his first All-Star appearance, along with leading the Dodgers to another NL West crown.
While training with some little league players in the offseason, Puig noted in a video taken how taking time to hit the cut off man allowed the batter to be safe.
After a little league player made it safely home on the hit, Puig quickly responded he was safe because the fielder decided to hit the cut off man. It was a funny jab by Puig, who has been criticized in his career for his style of play and it’s good to see he’s having a little humor with it.
The Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder is taking the league by storm, and you either hop on board with the way he plays the game or you don’t. There is no other option when you have a special talent like Puig.
