Titans deny Bears permission to interview Mike Mularkey
The Tennessee Titans have denied the Chicago Bears the chance to interview Mike Mularkey.
A couple of teams have been interested in adding Tennessee Titans tight ends coach Mike Mularkey to their staff as offensive coordinator this offseason. First they denied permission to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and now they are denying permission to the Chicago Bears and their new head coach John Fox.

Mularkey brings a wealth of coaching experience having been an offensive coordinator before with the Atlanta Falcons and being big in the development of quarterback Matt Ryan.
He also was a head coach with the Jacksonville Jaguars and certainly has been around the block once or twice when it comes to coaching.
With the Bears under new leadership after an abysmal season, Fox needs someone who can come in and fix Jay Cutler and the offense. Mularkey wont be that guy however.
Mularkey is wanted in Tennessee after their awful 2-14 season and the Titans need all the help they can get, much like the Bears. With Tennessee possessing the No. 2 pick in the draft, they could draft potentially a quarterback, someone the Titans would want their offensive minds on the coaching staff to work with.
As for the Bears, they will have to looking in a different direction as they will need someone to get Jay Cutler on the right track along with continuing to develop offensive weapons such as receiver Alshon Jeffrey.
Fox, has been a proven successful coach in stints in Carolina and Denver, leading both to the Super Bowl in his time as head coach, but ultimately fell short in both contests. For him to have success in Denver, he needs someone who can help lead the offense.
