During a Julian Edelman punt return, Colts linebacker Andy Studebaker did not have his head on a swivel.

If you played football, then you know all the coach speak. Coaches don’t repetitively yammer on about catchy phrases just to get on you and enjoy themselves speak. They do it for benefit of the team while looking to develop talent.

Although, one could argue they also do it in effort to not see you lose your life on the green grass of a football field.

One player that didn’t remember the repetitive coaching tip of “keep your head on a swivel” is Indianapolis Colts linebacker Andy Studebaker.

In today’s AFC Championship Game, Studebaker was in pursuit of New England Patriots Julian Edelman as he shot along the wall of a right-side punt return:

Patriots running-back Brandon Bolden took advantage of Studebaker’s lack of “head on a swivel” by sending him airborne and backwards.

This block summed up the day for Andrew Luck and the Colts.

For many football experts, who realized the Colts had passed the point for which their talent base deserved, the results of today’s Patriots blowout aren’t shocking. New England yet again running the ball down the throats of the not ready for primetime Colts also aren’t shocking.

Luck not being able to put some points up does come as a bit of a shock.

Nevertheless, Super Bowl 49 is pretty much all set as the Patriots will take on the NFC Champion Seattle Seahawks in two-weeks.
