Stakes are higher than ever for the two teams, who have an interesting history in recent years (most notably the “Fail Mary”), and the players are as excited for kickoff as the millions who will be watching around the world.
“It’s going to be one of those for the ages,” Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson said, via ESPN.com. “You look forward to that.
“Sometimes I think I’m made for these situations. I just try to be prepared for us. When you’re prepared, you’re never scared.”
If Seattle is victorious, they will become the first team in a decade to reach the Super Bowl in back-to-back years.
When the two teams met earlier this season, the Seahawks were able to easily get by the Packers, 36-16. Everyone will be hoping for a much more entertaining and competitive game this time around.
