Patriots’ Tom Brady will be first quarterback to play six Super Bowls in NFL history

New England Patriots passer Tom Brady will be the first quarterback to play in six Super Bowl games.
The New England Patriots handed a beat down to the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Championship game to punch their tickets to the Super Bowl. In that title game they’ll play the defending champions, the Seattle Seahawks.
Tom Brady will also be looking for that elusive fourth Super Bowl ring and has lost his last two Super Bowl appearances.
All-in-all, Brady has five Super Bowl appearances heading into this game and that sixth game will be a new NFL record.
It is also the most Super Bowl appearances of any head coach and quarterback combination in NFL history.
That shouldn’t come as any surprise because Brady has more Super Bowl appearances than any other quarterback in NFL history.
It also gives the Patriots an eighth Super Bowl appearance, which ties them with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys for most all time.
The Steelers have six Super Bowl wins and the Cowboys have five, the Patriots are looking for their fourth.
Needless to say this will be an important game for Brady and Belichick, a third Super Bowl loss would be rather devastating as Brady tries to establish himself as the best of all time.
