It was just a routine play with a couple of defenders taking a runner out of bounds, but Seattle Seahawks superstar Richard Sherman appeared to hurt his arm.

Richard Sherman helped make a stop against Green Bay Packers running back James Starks, pushing the runner out of bounds after Starks had picked up 32 yards.

But after the players tumbled to the ground, Sherman—the Seattle Seahawks’ All-Pro cornerback—came up flexing his left arm in obvious pain.

He remained in the game but was obviously favoring the arm, cradling it against his chest even as he was dropping back in coverage.

After the Packers got a field goal to take a 19-7 lead in the fourth quarter of the NFC Championship at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, the Seahawks medical staff was reportedly examining Sherman on the sidelines, per Troy Aikman on the FOX broadcast.

Sheman had his second interception of this postseason in the first quarter of the game, undercutting Davante Adams in the end zone to thwart a scoring chance for the Packers.

Sherman also had a pick in last week’s NFC Divisional Playoff win over the Carolina Panthers—the first two interceptions of his postseason career.

Sherman had four picks this season to go with eight passes defensed—the lowest totals of his career, but teams have been much, much more leery of throwing Sherman’s way after he led the NFL with eight interceptions and had 18 passes defensed in 2013.

In his fourth season out of Stanford, the former fifth-round pick has greatly exceeded expectations, earning All-Pro honors this season for the third straight year.
