Russell Wilson picked a really bad day to have the worst day of his professional career, throwing his fourth interception of the NFC Championship.

Russell Wilson had never had a four-interception game in his three-year pro career for the Seattle Seahawks.

When next season begins, Wilson will be able to say he’s never had a four-interception game in his regular-season career. So there’s that.

Wilson has targeted Jermaine Kearse four times in Sunday’s NFC Championship. All four resulted in Green Bay Packers interceptions.

Morgan Burnett was the most recent recipient, catching a ball that deflected off Kearse’s hands:

Ha Ha Clinton-Dix made the first interception, also off Kearse’s hands:

Then there was another pick by Clinton-Dix on an underthrown ball:

Sam Shields got into the act on this play in the end zone.

The Packers led 19-7 late in the fourth quarter, forcing five Seattle turnovers—the Seahawks committed just 14 all season—and surviving a potentially momentum-changing trick-play touchdown when punter Jon Ryan threw a touchdown pass off a fake field-goal.

At the time of the latest pick, Wilson was just 8-for-22 in the game and had been sacked four times.

Not the day the defending Super Bowl champions were anticipating as they tried to get back to the big game at the end for the third time in franchise history.
