Indianapolis Colts safety Sergio Brown is eyeing some payback against New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski in the AFC Championship game.
When the Indianapolis Colts face the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game, there will be some players looking for payback from their match up earlier this season. Colts safety Sergio Brown, who has become famous this post season for his Ric Flair impression, is particularly looking for some revenge against Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski.
“Of course I would,” Brown said, via CSNNE.com. “But you know it’s just football. I’m and aggressive football player and I would like to play well.”
On one play in particular, during a touchdown run, Gronkowski blocked Brown all the out of bounds. Afterwards Gronkowski said he threw Brown out of the club.
“He was just yappin’ at me the whole time…so I took him and threw him out of the club,” Gronkowski said.
It is that comment in particular that incensed Brown.
“I mean, it was a tough play. It was a hard play. I mean, I’m not mad about it. I was more mad about him saying he ‘threw me out of the club’ after the game. We just lost. Aw, you’re pissed off,” Brown said. “It’s football. I know Gronk. He knows me, and, I mean, I play tough, too.”
Gronkowski is a big man and trying to throw Gronk out of anywhere would likely take more than one man, especially a smaller defensive back. Maybe if Brown was a defensive lineman there would be more of a level playing field.
