Seahawks Defense is What We Thought It Was

Aaron Rodgers is a bad man, as Steven A. Smith likes to say. Although Rodgers will likely go on to win the MVP Award this season, the reality is that he played horribly against the Seahawks in the Conference Championship and it wasn’t entirely because of his calf injury. Seattle’s defense is unbelievable, but it truly was as good as advertised in this game.

The Packers were in the redzone twice in this game and Seattle held them to field goals on both occasions. In this game, Rodgers completed just 19 out of his 34 passes for just 178 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions. Rodgers had a QBR of 51.0, which is just a tick over mediocre on the QBR scale. Rodgers also had a 55.8 quarterback rating. In a game where the Seahawks’ defense needed to step up, they answered the call big-time and because of their performance, they will be heading to the Super Bowl once again.
