6. Belichick’s Playbook

Belichick already walks with the great coaching giants in the history of the game. He belongs in the same category with Vince Lombardi, Tom Landry, Don Shula, Bill Walsh and Chuck Noll, and it’s not because of his ability to inspire his team with his pregame speeches.

Belichick is perhaps the top strategist in the history of the game. He will regularly come up with surprising plays and shocking formations that leave his opponents blubbering.

That’s what happened in the divisional playoffs when he lined up with just four offensive linemen and managed to fool head coach John Harbaugh and the Baltimore Ravens when he made running back Shane Vereen an ineligible receiver.

He followed that up with a TD pass to Solder in the AFC Championship game.

Rest assured that Belichick will not only come up with an overall gameplan that will push the Seahawks to the limit, he will also find that trick play that turns the game in New England’s favor.
