4. Upgrading The Tight End Position

Richard Rodgers was a bright spot this season at the tight end position, but he still wasn’t what Aaron Rodgers needed. He made some big plays throughout his rookie season, and could very well take the jump that Green Bay needs next season.

That being said, the Packers can’t afford to hope that Rodgers can make the leap that they need from him. Andrew Quarless certainly isn’t what they need, and there are quite a few different targets on the market. Jermaine Gresham, Owen Daniels, and Charles Clay are three options that would make sense for the Packers.

Green Bay already has one of the highest-powered offenses in the NFL, but they could use an improved tight end next year. Rodgers has the type of weapons necessary to get the Packers to a Super Bowl, but a consistent big target at tight end would make him much more dangerous.
