5. Sign A Better Backup QB

Matt Flynn has been the Green Bay Packers’ backup quarterback for Aaron Rodgers over the past two seasons, and it is time for the Packers to sign a better backup.

Rodgers has faced injury issues over the past couple of years, and Flynn has been inconsistent to say the least. This season, he looked absolutely awful in his biggest appearance against the Detroit Lions in Week 17. Green Bay saw Rodgers go down after tweaking a calf injury, and Flynn came in and promptly gave the 14-0 lead away and the Lions tie the game.

There are plenty of quality backup quarterbacks on the market, and the Packers will have their pick of them. Flynn is a free agent as well, which makes the need even more of a reality. Names like Jimmy Clausen, Christian Ponder, Jake Locker, and Colt McCoy make a lot of sense for them.

Green Bay can’t afford to be without a quality backup, just in case the injury problems continue next season. Rodgers has been healthy for the majority of his career, but the past two years have brought up major concerns for the Packers.
