According to a report, new Oakland Raiders coach Jack Del Rio is dipping into his past and hiring Bill Musgrave as his offensive coordinator.

While it doesn’t have the same ring as Butch and Sundance, according to NFL Media’s Michael Silver, Musgrave—currently the quarterbacks coach for the Philadelphia Eagles—will rejoin Oakland Raiders coach Jack Del Rio as his offensive coordiator.

Musgrave served as Del Rio’s offensive coordinator for two seasons, 2003-04, with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

It’s also a return of another kind for Musgrave, who was quarterbacks coach for the Raiders under Jon Gruden in 1997, the year after his playing career ended.

This will be Musgrave’s third stint as an offensive coordinator. Besides the Jaguars, Musgrave was the coordinator for George Seifert with the Carolina Panthers in 2000—resigning after just four games—and spent three seasons (2011-13) as coordinator for Leslie Frazier with the Minnesota Vikings.

The best ranking his offense ever achieved was in his first year with Jacksonville, when the Jaguars ranked 12th overall. The Vikings were ranked 13th offensively in 2013.

The 47-year-old Musgrave played collegiately at Oregon from 1987-90, throwing for 8,343 yards and 60 touchdowns while completing 57.4 percent of his passes.

He was the all-time leader in passing yards for the Ducks before his mark was topped by Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota this season.

He was a fourth-round pick of the Dallas Cowboys in 1991, but was released in training camp. He wound up spending four seasons with the San Francisco 49ers (1991-94), playing in two games, and was with the Denver Broncos in 1995-96, playing in 10 games and making one start.

As a coach, he began his career with the Raiders in 1997, spent a year with the Eagles in 1998 and was with the Panthers in 1999-2000 before jumping to the collegiate ranks as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks/tight ends coach at Virginia in 2001-02.

After he was fired in Jacksonville, he spent a year as quarterbacks coach with the Washington Redskins and five seasons as quarterbacks coach for the Atlanta Falcons from 2006-10.

The Raiders were reportedly set to interview former Chicago Bears coach Marc Trestman, per Pro Football Talk. Trestman was offensive coordinator in Oakland from 2001-03, including the 2002 Super Bowl run that included quarterback Rich Gannon earning league MVP honors.

Del Rio was introduced as the Raiders new head coach on Friday. He was 68-71 in parts of nine seasons with the Jaguars from 2003-11.
