Tickets for the 2015 Super Bowl are selling now and are pretty expensive no matter where you buy them.
The average price of tickets to the 2015 Super Bowl in Glendale, Arizona where the Patriots and Seahawks will be facing off in two weeks is slightly down from last year. However, that doesn’t mean they aren’t still fetching some ridiculous prices.

The cheapest tickets on the open market right now are in the range of $2,800 at NFL Ticket Exchange, with the higher end around $13,000. The average price is right around $4,000, with the exact number being down $20 from last year, according to a report from Forbes. Luckily, ticket prices tend to trend down as the big game gets closer.
The ticket selling and travel planning began relatively early as it was starting to look pretty solid that the Packers were on their way to Super Bowl XLIX.

A few things about the venue are different this year vs last. The University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale seats about 10,000 less than MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. There also will not be the weather concerns there were last year. If you remember, an epic snowstorm was forecasted to come in right around the game, shaping it up for a Snow Bowl. However, the storm held off until after the game, leaving plenty of travelers stranded for at least another day in New Jersey.
Glendale will probably be in the 70s or 80s by game time, but that hardly matters as the stadium is covered besides. It’s probably a lower cost overall compared to last year’s Super Bowl in terms of accommodations in the city of Phoenix vs New Jersey last year.
In the last six seasons, the most expensive Super Bowl was in Lucas Oil Field in Indianapolis in 2012 and also featured the Patriots, but vs the Giants. That was the second time the two teams had met, with the Patriots, eventually losing both matchups. The least expensive Super Bowl was the Colts vs the Saints in 2010. Tickets for that game went at an average price of $2,679.
