Amazon decided to get in on the fun of trolling the New England Patriots over the deflate gate scandal today.
Today the good people of Amazon in the wake of the #deflategate scandal decided to capitalize on the popularity of this thing and cash in on a quick marketing/trolling ploy. On the Twitter account that Amazon uses to promote their products and services today they tweeted out a sale on a ball inflating kit.

I mean you just never know when you might be at a Patriots game and find a few deflated footballs lying around. Now talking about this whole deflated football thing really makes you wonder. Do the Patriots really try to cheat, or is it that they are so good that people have to try to make it seem like they do?

Well this is not a post to try to discover the truth to what happened because I am not a detective nor do I play one on television. I have also not stayed in a Holiday Inn Express in years. I can remember as a young boy though, my grandfather used to always say wherever there is smoke there is fire, but does that really mean they Patriot are cheaters? I think we will let the NFL investigate and take their conclusion as final on the matter.
I don’t really think so and this seems sort of phony to me. I mean a linebacker intercepted a football and said it felt kind of funny? I mean usually a linebacker does not really have the best hands in the first place. I am certainly not a Patriots fan nor am I a Patriots apologist, but this seems like it is just a ploy to take some of the splendor away from what the Patriots have done.
Why would a team who has been so closely scrutinized for so many years now take a chance like this on football’s second biggest stage of the season? It just does not seem to sit well with me. Here we have a coach like Bill Belichick who is arguably one of the smartest and best coaches in the game right now and it would seem like this would be a situation he would not want on his franchise.
Maybe we just have this because we live in a world that loves to have drama and something else to talk about. I mean we do have two weeks to fill that the news media needs something to talk about and here we are… talking about it!
Kudos to you Amazon twitter guy, you deserve a raise!
