Damian Lillard dunks the Kings hopes away

Damian Lillard is no stranger to clutch moments as he already has a career full of them. He’s just one of those guys you think of when it comes to players that seem to turn it up a notch when it’s the fourth quarter, and the game is nearing its end. While it was too close for a dagger, and too late to be just another play, this dunk is another moment of Lillard scoring at the right time, and putting his team in a situation to win.

The ferocity, the power, and the reaction is what makes everything about this dunk so great. First, Lillard splits the incoming double team, and makes a beeline for the rim. He reaches the paint, and two kings defenders rotate over with the intent of preventing what is exactly about the happen, but Lillard is determined to end this with a highlight. He takes off far away from the rim, and while Rudy Gay is late, Derrick Williams decides he is not going to be put on a poster today. Lillard meets no resistance, and throws down the dunk sealing the Kings fate to the loss column.

The rest of the NBA better think twice before stepping in front of Lillard from now on. He might be more known for his 3-point shooting, but Lillard can throw it down with the best of them and he’s not afraid to posterize anybody that is going to step in his way. Consider that a threat NBA: stay out of Lillard’s way, or he will find you, and he will dunk on you.
