NFL is squeezing Patriots’ balls, according to greatest NY Post headline ever (Photo)

The New England Patriots are embroiled in the ‘Deflate-gate’ controversy, which has produced one of the finest headlines the New York Post has ever come up with.
After handily winning the AFC Championship 45-7 over the Indianapolis Colts, the New England Patriots enjoyed the win for all of two seconds before another cheating scandal has engulfed the league. This time, there was no spy-gate or shady antics involving offensive schemes, rather the Patriots stand accused of improperly inflating balls for the Indianapolis Colts.

It’s a truly stupid controversy as the Patriots were the best team on the field in the AFC Championship game regardless of defeated balls or not. New England beat the Colts as it was and they would have nine times out of ten, which makes this controversy so insane yet believable.
According to the greatest headline the New York Post has produced in 2015, the NFL is squeezing the Patriots in the most uncomfortable of places.
The entire scandal is so stupid that everyone is starting to view it as more than plausible. Never put it past Bill Belichick to get an edge any way he can, and that includes possibly deflating balls just under where they’re supposed to be.
If Bill Belichick is the man we’ve all grown to know and loathe over the years, if the balls were meant to be inflated to 13-and-a-half pounds per square inch then it’s completely believable that some balls were inflated just a bit under that mark.
If for nothing else though, tis while scandal has given us some incredible word play that the New York Post has unsurprisingly knifed right through to get to the best and most upfront headline possible. Should one thing be remembered from this scandal, let it be that headline.
