Memphis Grizzlies

Do the Grizzlies have enough offense on their team?

The Memphis Grizzlies are one of the best teams in the league because they don’t copy anyone’s style of basketball, they have their own way of winning basketball games. The Grizzlies love to slow the game down on offense and turn the game into a half court game. Because of their methodical play on offense, the Grizzlies allow the opponent to fall into their true strength of their team, their defense.

It’s extremely difficult for opponents to score points inside of the grind house, especially when they are playing at a slow pace. There are no fast breaks, there are no easy layups, and there are no alley oops at the rim.

Because the Grizzlies have two players in Courtney Lee, and Tony Allen that can give any scorer on the perimeter lot of trouble, they can defeat any good team.

For as good as the Grizzlies are defensively, they need more scorers to help them become better. The Grizzlies offensively aren’t bad, they have five players who average double figure points and their balance is a huge reason why the Grizzlies average 101.8 points per game, good enough for 12th in the league.

What the Grizzlies do need is that 20 point scorer who they can give the basketball to and get efficient and effect points.

Bringing in Jeff Green from the Boston Celtics was a god start, but Green isn’t the type of player that’s a true number one option. We’ll have to wait and see if the Grizzlies can find out who’s going to become the 20 point scorer they need on the perimeter because their center Marc Gasol is ready to win, he needs more help.
