CB Darrelle Revis, New England

The best cover man in the NFL (two interceptions, 16 passes defensed) has lived up to that reputation in his first year in New England, and his confidence and competence has helped turn the Patriots’ defense around.

New England was an awful defensive team in 2012, and they were just average last year. That turned around this year, as their secondary tightened up considerably, and their front seven played with the belief that Revis and the rest of the defensive backs were not going to allow big plays.

Revis usually takes the opponent’s No. 1 receiver, but he may split his time between Doug Baldwin and Jermaine Kearse in this game. If Wilson tries to challenge the athletic Revis, it is not likely to work out in Seattle’s favor.
