After getting blow out by the New England Patriots and hearing about ‘Deflate-Gate,’ Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee has an interesting idea.

It’s all anybody and everybody wants to discuss these days: ‘Deflate-Gate.”

For good reason though. Once the integrity of the game is being compromised, then mass hysteria ensues.

Think about it. What happened to Pete Rose when it was revealed that he was betting on baseball? The man was banned from the game he was so entrenched in.

Okay, so maybe Rose was his own worst enemy by lying to Bart Giamatti and eventually agreeing to be banned as he signed on the dotted line (making a deal). Still though, he was banned for betting on baseball, an action that had no effect on outcomes of the games.

What the New England Patriots have done through Bill Belichick’s years have had major effects on the outcomes of games.

The AFC Championship game on Sunday wasn’t one of them, and everybody is weighing in on it.

On Monday, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady scoffed at the notion that these allegations had any merit. He laughed in the face of anybody who would dare bring it up.

Via WEEI in New England:

“I think I’ve heard it all at this point … it’s ridiculous,” Brady said Monday morning during his weekly interview with the station. “I don’t even respond to stuff like this.”

A week prior, after the Patriots beat the Baltimore Ravens in the Divisional Round, Brady had the moxy to challenge John Harbaugh about the NFL rules.

Via NFL.com:

“Maybe those guys gotta study the rule book and figure it out. We obviously knew what we were doing and we made some pretty important plays. It was a real good weapon for us. Maybe we’ll have something in store next week,” Brady said in response to Harbaugh being upset about the deceptive formation.

Study the rule book huh Tom Brady? Interesting.

After it has been concluded that the Pats did indeed cheat, yet again, Indianapolis Colts TE Dwayne Allen said the game could have been played with a “bar of soap,” and still the outcome wouldn’t have changed, according to Twitter.

Colts punter Pat McAfee is taking a slightly different approach:

McAfee, probably slightly impaired, has become the first Colts player to suggest they should be playing in the Super Bowl.

It was a good try with a decent attempt at humor to boot.

Although the Patriots will be playing in Super Bowl XLIX, the question is now quickly becoming: will Bill Belichick be on the sidelines?
