The Cleveland Cavaliers’ superstar didn’t hit the rim once, so he brought it down a second time

LeBron James has never really been a top notch free throw shooter in his career. James career average at the charity stripe is just 74.6%. Wednesday night against the Utah Jazz, James shot a free throw only a mom could love.

After getting fouled, James would head to the line to attempt his first free throw. However, the shot was equivalent to that of people who enter shooting contests at halftime for a car; it didn’t hit the rim.

The shot was not befitting of a former MVP and one of the leagues best. It was nothing but net, but not for the right reasons.

Never fear though, James would make up for the shooting gaffe.

Just a few minutes later, James would make the fans in attendance forget about the atrocious free throw as he would throw down an amazing reverse slam off a turnover.

The good thing about having the talent level that James has is that you’re more likely to make plays like the latter than the former. For every air ball free throw, there is likely to be 10 thunderous slams from a player of LeBron’s caliber.

After losing to the Phoenix Suns on the road last week, the Cavaliers have been resurgent since, picking up victories against the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, and Chicago Bulls. A victory over the visiting Utah Jazz would be four straight for the Cavaliers who are looking to go on a run to position themselves among the top of the Eastern Conference come playoff time.

For the benefit of everyone’s eyes, lets hope there’s more dunks and less air balls.
