Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson had the perfect answer for the media when asked about how he likes his footballs following the “deflate-gate” issue.
Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks were able to pull off an improbable 28-22 victory over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday to head to the Super Bowl in Arizona. Unfortunately, the game between the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts has not turned out as smooth as the first championship game.

Tom Brady and the Patriots embarrassed the Colts by a final score of 45-7, but there was an issue with deflated footballs. The NFL found that 11 of 12 Patriots footballs were deflated by two pounds, which wasn’t the case with the Colts’ footballs. That shows that the weather did not play a factor and someone deliberately deflated the footballs.
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson was asked about how he likes his footballs to be aired, and he had a perfect answer for the media.
Take a look at what he had to say on the matter for yourself:
Needless to say, that is an issue even more with the Patriots’ history of cheating. Last time they won a Super Bowl, they were found guilty of “spygate” and lost a first round pick to go along with a major fine.
This time around, fans and analysts are looking on the deflated football issue with even more curiosity to see what the NFL will do on what would be New England’s second offense. Obviously the deflation of the footballs was not a key in the outcome of the game, but is without a doubt an issue that needs to be addressed.
There are plenty of differing opinions on what the NFL should do to punish the Patriots this time around if they are indeed found guilty of knowingly deflating the footballs. Some believe that Bill Belichick should be suspended for the Super Bowl, while others think the loss of a draft pick or a fine would be fine. Other more drastic ideas are that the Patriots’ AFC Championship win should be vacated and that the Colts should be added to the Super Bowl in their place.
More than likely the NFL will simply fine them or take a pick away from them. If Belichick is actually proven to have a say in the deflation of the footballs, then he could see a potential suspension. Unless that happens, nothing too drastic is going to happen as a result of this entire situation.
